Lisbon’s West Coast - Sintra and Cascais
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel to start the journey to Sintra, located about 40 minutes northwest of Lisbon, a magical natural park with several microclimates that offers a spectacular blend of history, architecture, and nature.
Upon reaching Sintra, enjoy a stroll through the charming village with your guide, and savor a local pastry and coffee to warm up before exploring one of its magnificent palaces.
We will then visit one of Sintra’s remarkable palaces, such as the National Palace of Sintra or Monserrate Palace, both rich in history and architectural beauty. These sites reveal centuries of Portuguese heritage and offer a glimpse into the royal and romantic spirit that defines Sintra. Other palaces may also be visited by appointment, depending on the day and your interests.
As part of the tour, we typically continue toward the Atlantic coast, reaching Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, and strolling along its wild beaches.
Along the way, we can recommend one of the many excellent seafood restaurants for lunch, where you can enjoy the freshest local flavors.
On our way back to Lisbon, we’ll stop in Cascais, once a summer residence for Portugal’s last royal families, for a pleasant walk by the ocean after lunch, admiring the elegant palaces of aristocratic families.
